There were times when a superstar actors , maverick directors and earth shuttering budget failed to rescue some movies from flop . at the end of the day , content is the king . people had a lot of expectations from those movies . but because of the no story line , they disappoint to impress the audience . 

`1 . SHANDAR : 

 A fresh pairing, luxurious sets and superhit songs , alas ! nothing could save shandar which had no script .75 corers wasted .

2 . BOMBAY VELVET : 

Another big flop of 2015 , it is also the the biggest flop of the career of anurag kashyap . the 125 crore film had loss of 100 cr. . 

3 . KITEs : 

150 cr. wasted because of the clichéd script . A superstar father-son duo , melodious music album , a Mexican gorgeous actress , none could save the film .

4 . RAVANA : 

A 100 cr . film flopped only for the sloppy script . it was supposed to be the comeback cinema of brilliant director Maniratnam .

5 . MANGAL PANDEY : 

 A  100 cr . film , flopped because in one scene a prostitute romancing with one of the freedom fighters which did not go well with many . all i can remember is  Aamir khan's moustache and long hair .
