The Epiphanies ~ 13

Tonight as I stand at my balcony , I can hear all the monsoon sounds -the thunder of clouds, flurry of rain pattering against my window, the susurration of leaves and also a tranquil silence.

I enjoy that solitude and the peace that goes with it.

It seems as if the sounds are inviting me to become a part of them. I really cannot resist myself  to  getting drenched in the rain.

Believe me, it is a feast for the eyes to see the verdant balcony garden in this season. Though all the plants have green color due to chlorophyll but don’t know why after absorbing rains each one of them possesses different hues of green-from yellowish-green to the darkest of green, each shade can be distinctly seen.
Even the usual parched road looks beauteous, soaked in the rains, gleaming under the yellow streetlamp outside the house.

It feels wonderful to breathe the air ripped with pleasant, dewy petrichor along with the sweet smell of mogra. The smell of this lovely scent is mesmerizing!

The droplets of rain hit me and in no time all my day’s exhaustion vaporizes, rejuvenating my whole body.

I close my eyes and try to savor every drop of it.

For me the rains, not only give us an external good bath, but I feel it also purifies us from within.

Even when I grow older, I will relish ‘rains’ just like a small five-year-old kid.
