The Epiphanies ~ 3

This is a friendly reminder that what most of your friends are posting on Instagram right now is not fully representative of how everyone is doing with the recent events. We see lots of anger, lots of passion, lots of vigor to act.

But what we don’t see is the fear, restlessness, anxiety, and even hopelessness of the people we follow: your favorite singer, the girl that sits behind you in class, your uncle, potentially even some friends within your close circle.

Some are simply just fed up. 

Some can’t keep food down due to anxiety. 

Some barely care. 

Some are smiling in front of everyone pushing away thoughts of ending their life.

 Some don’t even know what’s going on right now.

 Some aren’t concerned at all because they’re too heavy laden with what’s already happening in their life.

Question.... do you know how your people are? REALLY are? What about those who aren’t “your” people? 

What about that cool girl you don’t talk to much because she intimidates you?

 Guys, what about your chill guy friends who never talk about anything personal?

 How are your siblings? 

What about your ex that you’re still kinda friends with? 

Or 

the stranger sitting next to you?

But also, how are YOU? Sacred? Anxious? Careless? Relaxed? Angry? Chill? 

Does your social media page make you sick right now? Or just bored? 

Can you distract yourself with FaceTime calls and memes? Or did the feelings of what’s happening keep you last night?

 Could you care less?

 Are you eating enough?

 Do you feel detached from it all?

 Or 

does it seem too real?

Love each other. Check up on your fam. And those that aren’t. Reflect with yourself.

 Stay in constant communication with your Author.

 Spoiler alert: He knows the end so He is really good at responding to your questions. Yes, silence is a response. But still a good one.

 Cuz you know, trust n stuff.
